Enjoy a tour of Bago, capital of the Mon Kingdom in the 15th century and a town steeped in legend, where you will visit the 55-metre long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha, the four seated Buddhas at Kyaikpun, the old palace of Kanbawzathadi, Shwemawdaw Pagoda, the town market and a Mon neighborhood where the locals produce beautiful woven textiles. Stop by Taukkyan War Cemetery, an Allied war memorial cemetery and if time permits, visit the sprawling Scott Market.
Day 1: Arrival in Yangon (No meal)

Upon arrival at Yangon airport, your tour guide will meet and welcome you. Start your downtown tour at the historic Post Office followed by Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden and Independence Monument. Visit the famous Chauk Htat Gyi, home to a 70-meter long reclining Buddha, whose feet are carved with traditional symbols. Take photos at the picturesque Karaweik Hall royal floating barge. End your day with an amazing sunset view at Shwedagon Pagoda, noted for its glittering gold stupa.
Day 2: Yangon – Bago – Yangon (Breakfast)
Mystical Bago
After breakfast, embark on your tour to Bago, capital of the Mon Kingdom in the 15th century and a town steeped in legend. Visit the 55-metre long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha, the four seated Buddhas at Kyaikpun and the old palace of Kanbawzathadi. Admire the Mon-style Shwemawdaw Pagoda, the most outstanding religious monument in Bago. This golden temple stands at 114 metres tall, higher than Yangon's Shwedagon Pagoda, and can be seen from around 10 kilometres outside of the city. Drop by the town market and a Mon neighborhood where the locals produce beautiful woven textiles. After lunch, proceed back to Yangon. Stop by Taukkyan War Cemetery, an Allied war memorial cemetery for more than 27,000 Allied soldiers who perished during the World War II campaign in Myanmar.
Day 3: Departure from Yangon (Breakfast)
Yangon Market Shopping
After breakfast, if time permits, enjoy a visit to the sprawling Scott Market, where you will find interesting Burmese souvenirs, from lacquer ware to gems and jewelry. Take departure transfer to Yangon airport for homebound flight.
